As it’s finally starting to feel like Fall, we are welcoming many of our long-awaited late varieties! Come on out to the orchard to grab some Fuji, Sweet Zinger, Braeburn, Ludacrisp, Enterprise, EverCrisp, CandyCrisp, Granny Smith, and GoldRush apples.
Let me introduce you to some of our favorites:
- LudaCrisp apples offer a deliciously sweet crispness with an almost tropical flavor. Our owner compares them to Juicy Fruit gum! These apples have an amazing and unique flavor that you’ve got to try.
- CandyCrisp are a very large (one apple can be up to a pound!) and sweet golden apple. They have an excellent low-acidity profile paired with a texture similar to a HoneyCrisp.
- GoldRush are debatably the most long-awaited variety in our orchard! Their claim to fame is their storability— when kept alone in a refrigerator crisper drawer, they can easily last until Spring without losing their firm texture! GoldRush are tart off the tree, but their flavor mellows in storage, creating an excellent sweet-tart flavor profile.
