Those juicy sweet orbs of nature’s candy will be available this summer at Liberty Apple Orchard, located on the east side of Edwardsville. “We plan to bring in freshly picked peaches from our friends in the rolling hills of southern Illinois starting Thursday, July 9,” said Stephen Miller, owner of Liberty Apple Orchard.
For the first time the orchard will be open in the summer with the following hours: Thursday and Friday 2-5 pm, Saturday 10-2pm. In addition to peaches, the orchard’s farm market will be stocked with honey from hives on the orchard, applesauce, apple butter, peach cobbler mix, books and puzzles on how apples grow, and peach slushies.
“Starting July 16th, 222 Artisan Bakery will be creating tasty peach treats for sale at the orchard,” offered Lugene Miller. Limited amounts will be available.
